This is my entry for the pink/green challenge for crafters companion.
I started with a pale green base card. I thought the stripe card blended well keeping within the green/pink. The main image is from crafters companion "Vintage Times" cd rom. then using the spray/sparlkle range i gave her a light squirt of silver. I then delved into my box of flowers/feathers & thought these gave it a nice finishing touch. Then just added the bows tied using the life saver of a bow maker.

I wouldn't usually go for this style of card but as This is the 1st time i've ever entered a challenge at all, i thought i'd try something different. this has only been entered in this challenge.

am looking to sat. Going on another Sheena Douglass workshop. Always great fun learn loads plenty of inspiration we'll be doing paint fusion again can never learn enough on them. Well worth the money. Will keep you up-to-date about it.

Along with my brags these cushions were summat totally different for me.

this is keira my beautiful 7 yr old granddaughter. shes  our only grandchild so shes the best 1  keira is so much like her mum not only in looks but in personality too we do pity her mum

ARGHHHH!!!!!!! i been such an idiot

I decided rather than let pieces of work hide away or collect dust i thght i'd display them in my craft room.

TA DAHHH these are the pics of the book i spoke of. i'm so pleased with my little self i've now decorated the cover a little more. was so suprised of all the colours that seem to come thru. Then remembered summat from 1 of Sheenas work shops when she said about buffing the paint when its dry to get a shine. the paints are the eco-green acylic paint.

i'm sat here soooo sad cos i didn't win sheenas candy, so to cheer myself back up i've now ordered it. why aint it ere yet? ordered it bout 10 min ago how much more time do they need?

well i got my wish today, i've got my me day. yee haa a whole day all to mysrlf without having to go to see mum.

 started playing earlier i got an old school book belonging to 1 of my kids that was empty & what i started a few mths ago was sticking pieces of work in thats 1/2 decent, def not to be hidden away. Anyway the cover was yellow so i decided to see if it would crackle & ......... YES it worked. i wacked some pva glue straight on to the cover, didn't even let it go off & added some raspberry pink over the top then went off & left it. went back a couple of hrs later & its looks great.
   reaction was wow i like that. must take a pic & put it on here.
 oh well i'm off now to watch c/c  sheenas back on with her new fusion.

who's slowing this week down. can't weait to see what delights our SHEENA DOUGLASS is going to bring us on fri.

our pets

grace is our german shepardshe a lovely girl we rescued her from Battersea dogs home about 3 yr ago. such a loving personality. Finnigan is our orange canary, hes a pensioner should have a walking stick cos he's so old. he is about 10 yr old that is a very good age for a canary. & he still sings beautifully.

water

After watching/making notes of videos i had a go at the water. This is what i managed. its onto watercolour card (crafters companion) i did the wet on wet way it seems to have worked quite successfully. But as Glenda says it never the same twice prob next time it'll fail.. I decdided to give watercolour paints ago. Not sure of the make bue whs do a wooden box set this is what i used. We'll see how it goes.

this was an accident i stamped on the wrong side of my card was on carols  shiny coated card its a cheap card but ok 4 messing about on you don't mind if it gets mucked up.

i'm resitting the colouring course with Glenda Waterworth.

this is what i've spent the last 3 wks working on along with mcc. it was great i've learnt so much. never knew so much could be done with metal, yes i knew about stamping/embossing on it. But this "beginners" course took it to the next level. I know its not perfect & needs alot of practice, but i'm happy with what i've acheived.

this is wk 1 of the mcc course i'm doing its metal crafting. i've done very little with metal. Had some 4 ages kicking around & didn't know what to do with it apart from stamp on it. i'm having a ball its great fun, so simple yet so effective

anniversary

this is my hubby's anniversary card. I wanted a challenge & boy did i get 1. i spent hours doing this then i thought i f***ed it up after doing all that cut work. i stuck acetate on the wrong side of the work being ashaker card it kinda mattered. Managed to peel it off inc the tape with no damage (phew) & put acetate in  the correct place. its not easy making sure the bits stay in the middle & line everything up straight. Talk about regert what you start. he'd better apprieate it ( i know he will) 
 It will be our 11th anniversary at end of mth. time has gone so quick

more playing with fusion. its really difficult to stamp onto canvas. as in the stuff thats mounted. Still when it didn't stamp properly i just painted over it with acylic paint. perseverance & i got there. this partiular image i found quite easy as its similar to the daisy. its looks alot better than how it was in the advertised pic.

my best piece yet. Even if i do say so myself.

apart from the leaves AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm happy

omg what a day had to take mum to eye hosp. had a really early start, she so slow everythimng takes so long. If theres no1 to lok at she near on runs but.... oh well at least it was quick & back home about 11.

proud times

what a proud mummy i am. my eldest daughter has just graduated after 4 hard years at uni,she has made so many sacrifices not only herself but her daughter keira (7). kirsty is now a social worker with letters after her name (ba). this was having just got gowned up ready for presentation. WORDS can express the feelings we had being there. so proud. I've always thought i was a parent who'd never have a kid at uni.
