I hate to think how many hrs this took me.As soon as i saw this patt in the parchment mag i knew i wanted to attempt it. Its all 1 layer so started with tracing it all, GAWD that took forever, then having to go over it with an embossing tool. So thats like doing it twice. Its far from perfect but i'm really pleased with it. Alan suggested laminating it for a place mat. NOOOOOOOOOOOOO not doing a matching 1.
This is the most complex parchment piece i've done. Still nawt like a challenge to test/push yourself

Delightful the way that butterfly picks up theose rosy colours of the paper behind. Don't think about the hours - but well done for getting it done & thanks for showing what can be achieved with dogged persistence.

i've done parchment 4 awhile now it reminds me of another love of mine cross stitch. I know they are totally different but enjoy both. Next i must get braver with colouring on parchment. I have done it but not very confident about it. but hpoefully with all i've learnt from the fab Glenda Waterworth (& others) on the 101 course also from Christine Coleman dvds & the workshops i've been on with Sheena Douglass put it all together on parchment. i use polychromo pencils oil pastels & pergaliners. will post as i go.
may i take the time to say thanku for the kind comments, its very encoraging.
